This device, a breathalyzer installed in your car, counts toward license suspension time, meaning any period you spend using it before sentencing will reduce your overall suspension.
However, IID use does not count toward other penalties, like probation or fines, associated with a DUI conviction. While inconvenient, the IID enables essential driving privileges but doesn’t exempt you from fulfilling all sentencing requirements.
